Workshop 2: Shifting Teaching-Learning Paradigms Through Innovative Pedagogy

The rapid progress of the Internet and allied technologies, emphasis on outcome-based education, the importance of participative learning, and changing expectations from students demand rapid development of teaching competencies of engineering faculty. Further, the growing heterogeneous capabilities and motivations of students are giving rise to more diverse learning needs, which require changes in the existing paradigms of engineering education. Today the faculty members have to adopt more flexible and student-centric paradigms and focus on developing students' attributes. To train faculty members in new and impactful education techniques, I propose arranging a workshop on "Shifting Teaching-Learning Paradigms Through Innovative Pedagogy." The half-day program includes diverse topics, including teaching methodologies, pedagogical strategies, and evaluation schemes.

This workshop aims to improve teaching-learning skills, promote the use of digital technologies and open-source software, and enhance communication skills. Hands-on sessions, quizzes, and structured feedback will be characteristics of the course.

Target Audience for this Workshop: University Teachers, Edtech Entrepreneurs, School Teachers, Government employees, etc.
